When I first arrived in Shanghai, I was very surprised by all the street art I found. Besides the quirky artworks housed in the Jing’an Sculpture Park and the charming rhinoceros family in Jing’an Park, there is an interesting array of sculptures spread all across the city. I’ve found a melting Dali clock in front of an office complex, a pair of bronze children looking at a map and a silver circus bear hiding in some bushes. On the drive out to Hongqiao airport, we always pass a towering flower tree that I find rather fascinating. I also adore the line of people queued up by the lamppost – that’s not something you see every day here in China. (Maybe it’s supposed to be an inspirational guide?) Even some of the shrubbery has taken on a sculptural form!
These are too cute. I’ve seen a few of these. I would like to see the flower tree. I love the girl on the bike with the umbrella. Such talented people in the world . Mom
all of these sculptures are amazing. I wish i had this sort of talent, but sadly i dont lol. The clock is my favorite.
The clock has been a big hit with all my visiting friends and family. It’s rather large and stands prominently on a street corner in front of a sterile office building. People are always posing for pictures with it LOL!
